Programs & Activities

Our programs address mental health, education, and community well-being through integrated, youth-led initiatives.

Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Awareness

Creating spaces to talk openly about mental health in schools where these conversations were once taboo, breaking down stigma and normalizing emotional well-being.

BESTIM conducts impactful Mental Health Awareness Workshops designed to educate, empower, and support individuals, families, and communities in understanding mental well-being. Through these workshops, BESTIM creates safe spaces where participants can learn about mental health challenges, recognize early signs, explore coping strategies, and access the support they need. Led by experienced mental health professionals, mentors, and trained facilitators, each session focuses on breaking stigma, promoting emotional well-being, and building a culture of empathy and support.

Our Goals

  • Increase awareness and understanding of mental health
  • Equip participants with practical skills for stress management, resilience, and emotional regulation
  • Encourage open conversations about mental health
  • Provide guidance on when and how to seek professional help
  • Support families and communities in creating supportive environments
Peer Support System

Peer Support System

Training students to be approachable, empathetic listeners who can provide initial support and create a sense of home for their peers.

Our peer support program trains selected students who demonstrate natural empathy and approachability to become peer counselors. These trained advocates serve as first points of contact for students experiencing emotional difficulties, creating an accessible network of support within schools.

Our Goals

  • Train peer supporters in active listening and empathy skills
  • Create accessible support networks within schools
  • Provide a first line of emotional support for students
  • Bridge the gap between students and professional help
  • Build a culture of peer care and mutual support
Financial Support

Financial Support

Providing tuition assistance to students in need, ensuring financial barriers don't prevent education and exacerbate mental health challenges.

Understanding that financial stress is often a root cause of mental health struggles among students, BESTIM provides direct financial support. We pay school fees for students at risk of dropping out, provide essential school materials, and ensure that financial barriers don't compound the emotional challenges students already face.

Our Goals

  • Prevent school dropouts due to financial hardship
  • Provide school materials and supplies to students in need
  • Reduce the mental health burden caused by financial stress
  • Work with school leadership to identify students in need
  • Create pathways for continued education and stability
Community Outreach

Community Outreach

Visiting hospitals, supporting single mothers, and engaging with vulnerable populations beyond the school walls to extend our impact.

BESTIM extends its mission beyond school grounds through community outreach programs. We visit hospitals, support single mothers, and engage with vulnerable populations in surrounding communities. These activities reinforce the understanding that mental wellness is a community-wide responsibility.

Our Goals

  • Extend mental health awareness beyond school environments
  • Support single mothers and vulnerable families
  • Conduct hospital visits to provide comfort and companionship
  • Build community partnerships for sustainable impact
  • Demonstrate that youth can lead meaningful community change
